| Although best known for his enormous TV paintings, Rolf Harris has a
background in Fine Art and has exhibited at the Royal Academy. He attended the
City and Guilds Art School at Kennington in the early fifties and went on to
develop his own characteristic, free style under the tutelage of Australian
impressionist Hayward Veal. He was voted the world's most famous artist by a
British poll in 1992 and his recent series for the BBC, Rolf on Art, has only
increased his appeal. |
